Grouting Works

Grouting is an important process to create a water-tight seal between adjacent objects. In home or office renovations, for example, grouting is needed to to properly finish the installation of floor or wall tiles. If your kitchen or bathroom tiles have unsightly gaps, we can help you to properly complete the grouting.

Traditionally, grout is made from cement. As water is able to penetrate cement-based grout, an additional layer of sealer will be needed to waterproof the surface.

Modern grout, in contrast, is made from epoxy resin and silica fillers. Epoxy grouts are far more water resistant and have no need for an additional layer of sealer. They are also easier to maintain than cement-based grouts.

However, they are more expensive than cement-based grouts as they are more difficult to apply.
