Sealant Works

In a tropical country like Singapore, leaks in roofs or windows can occur because of eroded sealant. The same problem can happen in bathrooms, when damaged sealant in the shower stalls cause water damage.

There are two main types of sealant that are commonly used:

• Acrylic sealant
• Silicone sealant

Acrylic sealants tend to be cheaper and when dry, can be painted over. However silicone sealants are more durable and have a longer lifespan.

In places like Singapore which have tropical weather, silicone sealants offer superior waterproofing.
